We had a lovely time staying at Stout and Co. The room was very comfortable and stylish of course! We did like having a sofa and kitchen area. Breakfast was very tasty and kept us going on a very cold day in Amsterdam!
Stout & Co is sheer perfection. Thrilling and thoughtful design, warm and accommodating hosts, attention to detail at every turn. It was a place we longed to return to at the end of each day, and hated to leave when our visit drew to a close. We will never stay anywhere else in Amsterdam!
Everything about our stay at Stout & Co was fantastic, we received a warm welcome from our host and was given invaluable information about what to see and where to go. The room was perfect, the bed was amazing and the the whole experience could not have been better.
Breakfast is a must, even if you only do it once, the fresh bread and granola are a lovely touch and I would not hesitate to book here again should I return to Amsterdam. Keep up the good work!

We enjoyed a fabulous stay in this urban chic apartment. The outside terrace was a particular delight as a place to enjoy the delicious drinks to be found in the mini bar. As other reviews have said it is not a location directly within the main areas, but as far as we were concerned that was a plus. Transport links are easy to find, and the short walks to tram stops provided a glimpse of a residential area of Amsterdam that made you feel less of a tourist. Arieene deserves a particular mention as an exceptionally friendly and attentive host. Nothing seemed too much trouble for the staff. Thank you for making our stay so comfortable.
I have stayed at Stout&Co with my daughter and it was the best hotel experience I have ever had in Amsterdam. The place is gorgeous overall, with beautiful high-ceiling rooms, decorated with great care, and a wonderful terrace/garden. The breakfast was amazing, and they were especially attentive with my daughter, totally stealing her heart..
We had a wonderful and comfortable 2 nights at the start of our trip here. Arienne was lovely and super helpful. She also makes a great breakfast! The rooms were spacious and had little design details and touches everywhere. Its preciously mentioned that this is not directly in the city centre, but its not far and was definitely a plus for us. Wish we could’ve come back at the end of our trip if you hadn’t been doing renovations!
We spent three nights at Stout & Co. and can strongly recommend this stylish and very well designed, service-oriented and clean (thank you to the very friendly and careful room cleaning guy!) Bed&Breakfast that is very well located to let you reach the complete old town and area around the canals of Amsterdam by walking but also close by tram stations to go to any direction. Our host Arienne was so friendly and helpful from the first warm welcome to the last minute when she offered us a room to store our luggage to be able to stay some hours longer in the city that we would like to thank her very much! We enjoyed every minute in this nicely special location and our big and beautiful room and would come back any time we come back to visit Amsterdam once more!

We really enjoyed our stay at Stout & Co. The welcome was incredibly friendly and we were given lots of great tips (the Brouwerij ‘t’ij windmill 5 mins walk away is a must!). The rooms are have been beautifully designed with high class products throughout the huge, well lit rooms. We will definitely return for our next stay in Amsterdam.
We stayed here the first 3 nights of our vacation, and it was a great way to begin our trip thru the Netherlands. It is in a quiet neighborhood, yet close to the Center. The staff is friendly and helpful, the rooms are comfortable and spacious, it is a really good value. I liked staying in a very small hotel where the ground floor is an architecture firm. I highly recommend this bed & breakfast.

Ik ben nogal kieskeurig,en ga het liefst als we een nacht weggaan telkens naar een andere plek maar als we weer in Amsterdam zijn ga ik graag hier weer heen (hopen dat het vrij is!)

We loved our stay at Stout & Co.! The staff was friendly and helpful. The b & b is incredibly hip and comfortable. The only downside is that it’s a bit far away from the middle of town, but otherwise, it’s a great value and a wonderful place to stay. We would highly recommend it!
My wife and I stayed there for 3 nights. It was wonderful, everything in the room is well designed and feels comfortable, and last but not least, the staffs are friendly and helpful. It was a joy to stay.
Of course it is extraordinarily designed, it is located almost perfect (for the rest there are earplugs provided) and breakfast tastes delicious (with honey collected by urban bees in the neighbourhood – really special…). But the caring staff (especially Arienne) is the real soul of Stout&Co. – you are hearty welcome and provided with so valuable tips – hospitality at its best! Thanks a lot…
It was a wonderful stay and we were treated like king and queen. We stayed for two nights (20-22 Mrch 2015) and had a great time. Arienne is good as gold and gave us great tips how to explore the city.
The location is easy to reach (parking is difficult as everywhere in Amsterdam) and you are in 5 minutes in downtown by bike.
5 rooms are available and even though they are similar every room has it’s own “theme”. The rooms are brand new, highly equipped and very nice overall. On sunday we joined breakfast. Limited variation, but the food what you get is high quality and very delicious.
We’ll be back! ;-)

Spent a lovely weekend in Amsterdam with a friend at Stout&Co. Highly recommend!!! The staff is so hospitable and friendly and the rooms were spacious and comfortable. Definitely order the breakfast in the morning which includes delicious cheeses and bread, all local produce. A very relaxing place that is slightly outside the city centre but still very accessible. Everything was perfect. Thank you!
We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay at Stout & Co in February 2015. It’s located in a beautiful old building that has been completely renovated with the owners’ businesses located on the ground floor and the B&B on the 2nd floor. The apartments are beautifully designed and are very modern, clean, and comfortable. The breakfasts are excellent and Arienne was very helpful with providing recommendations on restaurants, activities and how to get around the city. We also liked being out of the main tourist area but still close enough to walk everywhere. We’ll definitely stay again!
